These terms govern your use of this website and any enquiry you make through it. By using the site you accept them. The site is operated by Grandville Renovations .

1. This website is information, not a contract

Nothing on this site is an offer capable of acceptance, a quote, or a contract for building work. Descriptions of services, timeframes and indicative costs are general information only. Any work we carry out for you will be governed by a separate written agreement.

For renovation and building work in Victoria above the statutory threshold, that agreement will be the contract required by the Domestic Building Contracts Act 1995 (Vic). These website terms do not replace or vary it.

2. Information about permits, overlays and building requirements

Pages on this site describe planning controls, permit requirements, soil conditions and construction considerations that commonly apply in particular parts of Victoria. This is general guidance to help you understand what a project might involve.

It is not advice about your property. Planning controls and overlays are applied property by property and change over time. Before relying on anything here, confirm what applies to your land. You can check the planning controls for any Victorian property on VicPlan. Your local council can confirm permit requirements.

3. Enquiries

Submitting an enquiry does not create a contract or oblige us to take on your project. We will use your details to respond, in line with our privacy policy. Please do not send confidential or sensitive information through the enquiry form.

4. Quotes

Any quote we give is based on the information available at the time and on what is visible at inspection. Quotes are valid for the period stated on them. Conditions that could not reasonably have been identified beforehand, for example concealed structural damage, asbestos, unexpected ground conditions or undocumented previous work, may change scope and price. Where that happens we will tell you before proceeding.

5. Your consumer rights

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, including that services will be supplied with due care and skill and will be fit for the purpose you told us about. renovation and building work in Victoria also carries statutory warranties under the Domestic Building Contracts Act 1995 (Vic).

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies those rights. Where we are permitted to limit liability, and to the extent the law allows, our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee is limited to resupplying the service or paying the cost of having it resupplied.

6. Limits on liability for this website

Subject to clause 5, and to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on general information published on this site, from the site being unavailable, or from third-party sites we link to. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

7. Intellectual property

The content, layout and design of this site belong to us or our licensors. You may view, download and print pages for your own use in considering a project. You may not republish, sell or systematically copy the content without our written permission.

8. Third-party links

We link to external sites such as VicPlan and council pages for your convenience. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or availability.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. The current version is always at this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top. Changes take effect when published.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that place.
